Emmaus UK

Emmaus is a secular movement started by Abbé Pierre in 1949, spanning 36 countries with the first Emmaus Community in the UK opening back in 1992 in Cambridge and to date there are 19 Communities throughout Great Britain ... with many more in the pipeline!,

Each Community aims to become self-supporting, with any surplus donated to others in need. Emmaus Greenwich is a member of Emmaus UK and an active member of the federation of Emmaus Communities in the UK. Emmaus UK was established to encourage and support the growth of Emmaus and the fulfilment of its ideals throughout the UK. Terry Waite, the president of Emmaus UK is a regular visitor to the Greenwich Community.
